What people get wrong

DAP

If the buyer is slow to clear customs, the goods sit and the demurrage lands on the seller, who still controls the carriage contract.

FAS

Only sensible for bulk or break-bulk. For containers the goods leave the seller long before the quay, so FCA fits better.

DAP works for any mode of transport. FAS is written for sea and inland waterway transport only.
